Surf and SUP lessons and hire details

Surf and stand up paddle board (SUP) lessons last for 1 1/2 hours and include the use of all the equipment (surfboard and wetsuit).  During the lesson you will cover the basics of surfing, paddling the board, catching the waves, standing up on the board, wave selection, turning techniques, basic surf etiquette, ocean awareness, surf safety, costal tours (SUP lessons only) and any future advice to help you with your life as a surfer/stand up paddle boarder.  Flat water training is also available with the use of 'Indo balance board trainers'.

There are reduced rates for children U16 and disabilitied children U18.  Special, group prices, ‘Stag and hen’ and 'kids birthday' parties and can also be arranged at variable prices.

The hire of surfboards, wetsuits, boots, gloves and hoods are also available.  Hire is on full day basis between the hours of 10:00-18:00.  A drivers license, passport or credit card will be required as a deposit.

Photography

The Glide surf school also has a professional photographer (www.miriamlightphotography.com ) working with groups.  On request your surf lesson can be photographed to catch the moment that you get to your feet and feel the glide.  Please contact The Glide Surf School for a price quotation and availability of the photographer.  

 

Terms & conditions, booking & payment

The minimum age for surf lessons is 8 years old. The minimum age for Stand up paddle board lessons is 10 years old.

Current lessons for 7 days in advance are displayed on the home page.  Proposed lesson times for further in advance are subject to change, however are available by contacting the Glide Surf School.  Stand up paddle boarding and 'Indo balance board training' is available for flat conditions. 

The Glide Surf School does not accept any responsibility for flat surf conditions once lessons have been booked. 

It is recommended that if you are travelling a great distance you contact the Glide Surf School the morning of your lesson to check conditions.

Payment can be made by either cash or cheque.  Cheques must be presented in person with a cheque guarantee card and made payable to ‘ Mr B J Kewell Surf’.
